APSSDC is a non-profit organization formed as a PPP (Public Private Partnership) corporation to promote skill development and entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh, India. The main purpose of the APSSDC (Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation) Siemens Mission is to train a large number of unemployed youth for employment and to create a technically skilled workforce related to Andhra Pradesh. The more expensive state of the art workshops have been reserved at the Hub i.e. Center of Excellence (COE), which will also serve as a center for higher education and research, while the usually required trade lab has been spread to the spokesperson. Each cluster will have an annual volume to train 20,000. Therefore, the total amount of the scheme from all the centers is 1,20,000 per year. It is a collaborative plan with Siemens with a 10% stake by the government and 90% by Siemens.
The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission to open 40 such centers in the state, out of which six are Centers of Excellence (COEs), while 34 are technical skill development institutes. All 40 centers also started to train students.
The corporation is incorporated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with a 49% stake and a 51% private equity component. The corporation works as an ‘executive agency’ for the newly formed skill development, entrepreneurship and innovation department.

Robotic process automation software company UiPath has partnered with APSSDC to teach robotic skills to youth as part of its educational alliance program. More than 50,000 students are expected to benefit from the mutual relationship between these two companies.

Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) signs agreement with NRDC
APSSDC signed an MoU with NRDC (National Research Development Corporation) to set up innovation, incubation and production centers in upcoming skill development colleges across the state.
Chairman Challa Madhusudan Reddy and MD and CEO Dr Arja Srikanth of APSSDC believed a series of talks with the officials of NRDC which resulted in the accepting between the two entities. Both parties have been signed on an agreement through virtual mode in APSSDC headquarters.
NRDC agreed to set up innovation, incubation and production centers in skill development colleges, which will result in opening up of skill development colleges in all 13 districts soon. These centers will organize technical exhibitions and teach them various skill qualities and train them. This will help the youth to get employment.
NRDC will also develop incubation centers in addition to providing funds to carry out the startup business selected by APSSDC.
APSSDC executive director Dr. DV Ramakoti Reddy, Dr. B Nageswara Rao, NRDC representatives Dr. Sahu, Dr .Purushottam and Dr. Bhavya also participated.

APSSDC has started work for students from Andhra Pradesh to receive skills training from a UK institute. APSSDC signed a memorandum of understanding with Health Education England to serve the purpose of skills training. To improve the career prospects of nursing students in the state, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has participated in it.
Students from both government and private nursing colleges will be provided with the necessary training education to approve screening tests like International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in the first phase and NMC Part-1 and Part-2 in the next phases.

Underscoring the essential for creating students industry able to end the unemployment issue (Berojgari), Minister for Industries and Commerce Mekapati Goutham Reddy said the govt would be fixing a skill development university in Tirupati and a ‘high-end skills’ university in Visakhapatnam, aside from 25 skill development colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh .
The minister participated during a workshop on the ‘implementation of apprenticeship scheme’, organized by APSSDC here on 12 February 2020.
Speaking after launching the manual on NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme), Goutham Reddy said in majority of the developed countries, students were ‘industry-ready’, but things in India was diverse.
To overcome the shortage of skilled manpower, Andhra Pradesh, with the Centre’s support, has been getting to take up programmes for creating a world-class workforce, he noted.
“We have detected that students within the state of Andhra Pradesh have big desires. To match their ambition level, we’d like to make the proper groundwork in order that we will outlook side by side with the planet , he said.
NAPS senior head Surajit Roy said the workshop was organized with an aim to facilitate awareness and promotion of NAPS.
