Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), which has a strong generation capacity of 6687.2MW (Thermal and Hydal) and 13.923MWp Solar. This company is gearing up for a massive expansion. The company plans to add 5500MW in renewable energy and 3720MW in super critical and ultra critical thermal generation. Additionally, DVC is a major supplier of water to industries and municipal corporations. Now in view of this, DVC is releasing government jobs for 64 posts.

- Age Relaxation: As per government rules
- The age limit for unreserved candidates should be 29 years as on the last date of online application. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD/Ex-Servicemen candidates will be as per Government of India guidelines. There is no upper age limit for DVC Departmental candidates. Departmental candidates will also be required to pass the relevant paper of GATE-2023.

Selection Process
If you are applying for these DVC jobs then you must take a look at the selection process once:
- The selection process will be based on the marks obtained (out of 100) in the respective papers of GATE-2023.
- Eligibility: Candidates are required to appear in the respective GATE-2023 papers in disciplines such as Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), Civil (CE), Instrumentation (IN), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), and Chemical (CH).
- Valid Marks: Only GATE-2023 marks will be valid. GATE marks of 2022, previous years or GATE-2024 will not be valid.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification (DV) based on their GATE-2023 marks out of 100, in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:5 or more to the number of vacancies in each category and discipline. In case the marks of the candidates are equal, all the candidates with the same marks will be called for DV.
- DVC’s discretion: DVC reserves the right to adjust the ratio as required. Qualifying in GATE-2023 does not guarantee being called for DV.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce their GATE-2023 Admit Card, original GATE-2023 scorecard and other identity proof (Aadhaar, Voter Card, PAN, Driving License, Passport).
