Earlier, Railway Recruitment Board was going to recruit 5696 ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) posts. Which has now been increased to 18,799 posts. Qualification:
If you are thinking of applying for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot then you must have Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutes of NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Heat Engine, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.

If you have done Matriculation/ SSLC plus course in Act Apprenticeship above trades then you can apply for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot.

If you have Matriculation/ SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering then you can also apply for these government jobs. (OR)
If you have done a combination of different streams of engineering subjects mentioned above from a recognized institute in lieu of ITI then you can apply for these jobs.
Note: If you are an engineer and have a degree in the above mentioned engineering subjects instead of a diploma in engineering then also your application will be considered.
